As some of you may know, I’m a proud member of our RE/MAX Fundraising Committee. Every year we organize a realtor golf tournament, with the proceeds going to BC Children’s Hospital & Children’s Miracle Network, and a spotlight charity of our choice- this year it was BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services.
Due to Covid-19, our 2020 tournament was cancelled. With many restrictions still in place, it was questionable if we would even be able to host a 2021 tournament. Well, with safety precautions and a lot of changes made to our usually very social event, we moved ahead with the 2021 tournament in September.
Despite golfing on what may have been the rainiest day of the year, the result was better than we ever could have imagined! At our last tournament in 2019 we raised about $27,000. This year we raised a whopping $45,000! If you contributed or donated- THANK YOU! This event is a reflection of our community and our three RE/MAX offices coming together to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. We could not be more grateful!
Accepting the cheque on behalf of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network is Allison Hepworth. She has been amazing to work with, and we can’t thank her enough for all she does to help make events like this possible.
